How to Celebrate Father's Day in Zimbabwe

There can’t be a better occasion to show your gratitude for your dad than Father’s Day. Pamper your dad and tell him what he means to you. Zimbabwe celebrates Fathers Day on the third Sunday of June. Follow these steps to celebrate Father’s day in Zimbabwe.

1. Start by making your father’s morning special with his favorite breakfast. Consider serving something that he likes but doesn’t get to have often.
2. Consider taking your father out for a brunch or lunch if breakfast is not his thing.
3. Take him to his favorite restaurant or a new restaurant which serves his favorite cuisine.
4. Plan a homemade meal for your father if he is doesn’t enjoy eating out much.
5. Remember to serve your father’s favorite drink with meals.
6. Finish off with his favorite dessert. Consider making one yourself.
7. Surprise him with a handmade card. Write a message in the card for your dad and tell him how special he is.
8. Reserve your whole day for him. Time is the most precious thing you can give him. Do some of his favorite things together, like watching a sports game on TV or going to see a movie.
9. Gift him a thoughtful present. Select a gift that complements his hobbies. For instance, golf club membership or golf paraphernalia for the golfing father, gym membership to the fitness freak dad and so on. You can search for and order a gift online (see Resources below).
10. Throw a party for your father. Invite your friends, relatives and dear ones. Prepare a few words for your father in advance to be spoken in the party.
11. Prepare a scrapbook for him in advance. Paste some of the best pictures of you and your dad. Label its cover page with a nice phrase such as “For the Best Father in the World.” Place the scrapbook on his bed at night before he goes off to bed.
