  2. Step 2

    Go online and search the Web for information (see Resources below) on legal matters pertaining to gay adoption in Maine.

  3. Step 3

    Visit government Web sites (see Resources below), read legal books and discuss with attorneys to learn more about Maine's adoption laws.

  4. Step 4

    Spread the awareness of the rule that Michigan allows single-parent "LGBT" adoption. Second-parent adoption is allowed; but the judgment depends upon the court’s decision. Joint-adoption is not permitted here.

on 12/26/2008 I as well. My sister is a lesbian and I love her to death. I don't condemn them for their alternative life style. I'm also passing this along to her and her friends. http://www.myadoptionforms.com/booklet.html has great purpose if not amazing info on the adoption process.
