How to Book Travel on City Star Airlines

City Star Airlines was established in March 2005 and flies out of Aberdeen Airport in Dyce, Scotland. City Star provides twice-daily scheduled service and is available for charters. It offers direct flights from Aberdeen to Oslo Gardermoen, with connections to several Scandinavian destinations. City Star flies 32-seat Dornier 328 Tubo Prop aircraft.

Book Travel on City Star Airlines

1. Book your tickets by visiting the City Star Airlines Web site (see Resources below). You can also contact them directly by calling 011 (+44) (0) 1224 722610.

2. On their Web site, enter your travel information including departure city, destination, travel dates and number of passengers.

3. Phone City Star Airlines immediately after booking travel for unaccompanied minors or passengers requiring special assistance, and special meal requests.

4. Click the Star Services tab on City Star's homepage for charter flight booking information. City Star can remove seats and change the configuration of the plane's interior to accommodate 12 to 32 passengers, and charter service is available for international and domestic flights on relatively short notice. This service is more expensive.

5. Click the Schedules tab on the City Star Airlines Web site for regularly scheduled flights (see Resources below).

6. Select the Star Destinations tab to find visitor information for all City Star destinations.

7. Be aware that check-in closes 45 minutes before the scheduled departure. A list of check-in locations for each airport can be found by clicking the Check-In tab on City Star's homepage.

8. Do not bring hand luggage weighing more that 5kg (44 lbs).

9. Limit weight of checked luggage to 20kg (11 lbs) per bag.

Tips & Warnings

• All phone numbers include the United States international prefix "011." When calling internationally from outside the United States, check which prefix to use. All country codes are within parentheses and begin with a "+" sign.
• Book online to find detailed information and reservation options for car rentals and hotels in the Aberdeen and Oslo areas.
• Read all of the fare restrictions on the booking page for information regarding fare rules, ticket validity, unaccompanied minors and special requests.
• Flights may be purchased up to one year in advance.
• You can carry your infant on your lap for a small fee.
• The airline must be informed of unaccompanied minors in your party 72 hours before scheduled departure or they will not be allowed to board.
• City Star issues confirmation codes instead of paper tickets. You must have the confirmation code and a valid form of identification to board your flight.
• Be aware that new restrictions in the UK limit carry-on luggage to one piece.
