How to Book Train Travel From Lisbon, Portugal to Paris, France

If you'd like to travel between Lisbon and Paris, the train is an excellent option. The railway systems in Portugal and France are clean, efficient and fun to ride. Book your trip in advance and you'll have less to worry to about while you're traveling.

1. Book your tickets by calling RailEurope at (888) 382-RAIL. You may also book your tickets through the RailEurope Web site (see Resources below).

2. Decide whether you'd like to travel during the day or at night. Night trains are typically much less expenive.

3. Choose your preferred class of service and train speed. The fastest train from Lisbon to Paris is the Sud-Express. This train runs a few times a day and is about a half-day trip.

4. Find out if any of the passengers in your group are eligible for discounts. Senior citizens and youth get lower fares.
