Tips & Warnings
Book your tickets online to avoid the language barriers that can arise when traveling in a foreign country.
Timetables listing train schedules throughout Portugal are available at any train station for a small fee.
Buy a railpass instead of a single ticket if you plan to travel extensively by train, but you must purchase it before you leave the United States or Canada.
Lines are often very long and you might pay an additional supplement if you purchase tickets at the station. Plan ahead to avoid added charges and delays.
