How to Manage the Calendar in Your BlackBerry

With the BlackBerry smart phone you can synchronize your calendar and track your appointments, bookings and other important dates. These advanced features may seem intimidating to novice users, but managing the calendar in your BlackBerry can be done in just a few steps.

  • Wireless connection
  • USB 2.0 cable
  • BlackBerry
  1. Step 1

    Connect your BlackBerry to your computer. You can connect your phone to your computer by using a USB cable (which usually comes with the phone) or through a wireless connection.

  2. Step 2

    Open the desktop manager. Make sure that you close other running applications in your computer.

  3. Step 3

    Click the "Intellisync" icon twice. A pop-up window will appear and offer you more options.

  4. Step 4

    Choose the "Synchronize Now" section. Check the "Synchronize PIM" box and then click "Synchronize Now."

  5. Step 5

    Disconnect your BlackBerry from the computer safely. Make sure that you stop the BlackBerry’s connection with the personal computer by clicking the "External Device" icon found on the toolbar.

  • Despite its independent operating system, the BlackBerry smart phone can sync with computers running almost any operating system.
