How to Find a Honeymoon Venue in Las Vegas

Las Vegas or "Sin City," as it's popularly known, is famous for its numerous casinos and adult entertainment. But aside from its notorious haunts, Vegas is also a very popular wedding venue especially. You can plan simple, fuss-free ceremonies and lavish and fun honeymoons. To find a honeymoon venue in Las Vegas, follow these steps.

  1. Step 1

    Search for different Web sites about Las Vegas and read about the city. The Internet is a logical place to begin your research as you can point your Web browser at any number of different sites and gather information at your leisure.

  2. Step 2

    Go to the official Web site of Las Vegas to learn more about the place (see Resources below). The site offers tips and information about the city's laws as well as its history, weather and shopping centers that will be useful for your honeymoon. The site also offers an interactive map of the city, which is worth getting familiar with.

  3. Step 3

    Check out the official Las Vegas Tourism Web site for travel packages (see Resources below). The site features a complete list of available hotels and transportation schedules for tourists and travelers.

  4. Step 4

    Read about the different tourist attractions and entertainment venues that you find interesting and plan your itinerary, including Wynn Las Vegas, Imperial Place, MGM Grand and Bally's. Check which hotels are nearest to the places you want to visit to narrow down your choices.

    Choose a hotel that's within your price range but one that still offers superb service. Las Vegas offers lodging for every budget. There are tons of different packages to choose from. If you're willing to do some digging around, you're sure to find a package that meets both your entertainment needs and your budget.

  • Electric outlets in the city use the standard 110 to 120 volts AC (60 cycles). If you're coming from outside North America, bring along an adapter for any gadget or appliances that you want to bring.
  • Visitors can tour the city either through a car rentals or public transportation. Buses are available daily and fares usually cost $2 per person. Renting an economy car costs around $30 per day. If you want to tour the place in a more luxurious car, you can rent a limousine. Renting rates may increase during the holiday season when there are large conventions in the city.
  • There's an additional 9 percent tax on hotel rooms and a 7.75 percent sales tax on purchases in Las Vegas. Be mindful of your spending unless you really want to blow a fortune on your honeymoon.
