Whether you live in Manhattan and are looking to get out of the city or you are upstate and looking for an escape, it is not hard to find a quiet beach in New York.

  1. Step 1

    If you are looking for an escape from New York City, a trip to Fire Island might be a good idea. It is important to consider that the beaches will be less crowded on weekdays, in the mornings and during the off-season.

  2. Step 2

    Looking for a quiet beach in the western part of the state? Consider a trip to the Allegany State Park area in Salamance. Alternatively, consider a trip to Woodlawn Beach State Park along the shores of Lake Erie in Blasdell.

  3. Step 3

    Near Rome in the central part of the state, you'll be able to find a quiet beach on the Delta Lake Reservoir at Delta Lake State Park.

  4. Step 4

    If you are looking for a quiet beach near Syracuse, consider making the trip to Green Lakes State Park. There you'll be able to find some quiet along the shores of two glacial lakes.

  5. Step 5
