How to Find a Quiet Beach in New York

Whether you live in Manhattan and are looking to get out of the city or you are upstate and looking for an escape, it is not hard to find a quiet beach in New York.

1. If you are looking for an escape from New York City, a trip to Fire Island might be a good idea. It is important to consider that the beaches will be less crowded on weekdays, in the mornings and during the off-season.

2. Looking for a quiet beach in the western part of the state? Consider a trip to the Allegany State Park area in Salamance. Alternatively, consider a trip to Woodlawn Beach State Park along the shores of Lake Erie in Blasdell.

3. Near Rome in the central part of the state, you'll be able to find a quiet beach on the Delta Lake Reservoir at Delta Lake State Park.
   

4. If you are looking for a quiet beach near Syracuse, consider making the trip to Green Lakes State Park. There you'll be able to find some quiet along the shores of two glacial lakes.
   

5. If you are looking for a quiet beach in upstate New York, make Lake George your destination. There you will be able to find a quiet beach on any of the islands in the of the lake.
