How to Find a Quiet Beach in New Jersey

You may not think of the Garden State as a great place to find a quiet beach, but that does not mean they do not exist there. If you want to take some time to relax and unwind on a quiet beach in New Jersey, here are some locations to consider.

1. Consider making a trip to High Point State Park if you want to find a quiet beach in Sussex County. There you will be able to find a beach surrounding a twenty-acre lake.

2. In the northwest part of New Jersey you will find Lake Hopatcong. Hopatcong State Park offers a quiet beach on the lake.

3. Ready to find ocean beach in New Jersey? Consider making a trip to Island Beach State Park. There, on a barrier island, you'll have over a mile of ocean beach on which to spread out.

4. In Ringwood State Park, you'll be able to find a beach at the Shepherd Lake Recreation Area where you can relax.

5. Another place where you can find a beach to unwind is Jamaica Bay in the Gateway National Recreation Area. Also in the Recreation Area are the five beaches of Sandy Hook.
