How to Log into LiveJournal

Would you like to learn how to log into LiveJournal? LiveJournal is a fun and powerful communication tool you can use to connect with friends and strangers online while expressing your thoughts and feelings as you see fit. Many people enjoy using LiveJournal as their own private journal, an exclusive blog, or a public social network.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • LiveJournal account
  • Username and password

    Create a LiveJournal Account

  1. Step 1

    Go to LiveJournal’s main Web site (see below).

  2. Step 2

    Click on the large yellow button in the center (beside the Frank, the LiveJournal mascot goat) that says “Create an Account.”

  3. Step 3

    Fill out the short form completely and accurately.

  4. Step 4

    Click “Create Account.”

  5. Confirm your LiveJournal Account

  6. Step 1

    Log into your e-mail account.

  7. Step 2

    Check for an e-mail from LiveJournal support.

  8. Step 3

    Take note of your password. Memorize it, save the e-mail or write it down somewhere safe.

  9. Step 4

    Click on the provided link. This will confirm your password.

  10. Log into LiveJournal

  11. Step 1

    Go back to LiveJournal’s main Web site page again.

  12. Step 2

    Go to the top right corner. Type in your username and password and click “Login.”

  13. Step 3

    Start creating your journal. Make posts, explore the community, leave comments, read public as well as your own private comments, add friends, create your own social network, and more.

Tips & Warnings
  • Choose a unique and fun username that’s “you”—but don’t be too over-the-top. Remember, people will associate you and everything about you with your username, so make sure it’s something memorable in a positive way.
  • Don’t give anybody your password. Change your password regularly so others can’t access your account.
