How to make a Pea-Pickin cake

this recipe has been a holiday favorite in my family. Does this Spark an idea?

  • 2 mixing bowls, 1 hand mixer, 3 9" cake pans, 1 yellow cake mix(Duncan Hines), 1 can of drained meridian oranges, 1 can crushed pineapple(drained), 1 large tub of cool whip, 1 packet of vanilla instan

Instructions

    • 1

      Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl combine the cake mix, butter, eggs, and meridian oranges. Mix for 4 to 5 mins. Pour evenly into the three cake pans.

      bake for 25 to 30 mins.

      In mixing bowl combine the cool whip, pineapple, and vanilla pudding. Mix well.

      After the cakes have cooled you can now begin frosting with the cool whip mixture. Once frosted refrigerate until ready to eat.
