You can celebrate the freedom of the United States right at home in the Constitution State—Connecticut.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Food for a party or to take to a party
  • Transportation to the nearest festivity/parade/party
  • Party favors
  • Fireworks
  1. Step 1

    Plan a party of your own—invite friends over for a barbecue and have some fun.

  2. Step 2

    Go to a friend’s 4th of July party.

  3. Step 3

    Shoot off fireworks when it gets dark to celebrate Independence Day.

  4. Step 4

    Take the kids to the county fair for a day of fun, family and rides!

  5. Step 5

    Go to the Boston Harborfest to celebrate the 4th of July.

  6. Step 6

    Go to your hometown’s 4th of July Parade.

Tips & Warnings
  • Enjoy yourself, but be safe around fireworks, barbecues and vehicles.
  • If you are drinking at a party, designate a driver that will stay sober so you can all get home safely. If you don’t have a designated driver, call a cab.
  • If you are having a party where alcohol is being served, make sure you don’t let your friends drive home intoxicated.
