Nachos are very easy to make and they’re great for a snack, a meal or for serving at casual get-togethers and events like your annual Super Bowl party.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Salsa
  • Refried beans
  • Bell peppers
  • Shredded cheese
  • Sour cream
  • Tortilla chips
  • Avocado
  • Olives
  • Ground beef
  • Taco seasoning

Step1
Add equal portions of ground beef and refried beans to a pan and heat until the meat is around halfway cooked. Add taco seasoning if desired.
Step2
Add the peppers and continue cooking a couple more minutes.
Step3
Spread tortilla chips over a plate (one for each person or on a large platter if you’re serving a snack for guests).
Step4
Spread a generous layer of the meat mixture over the chips.
Step5
Add plenty of cheese on the top.
Step6
Grill in the oven or heat until the cheese is melted and the chips are hot and slightly toasted around the edges.
Step7
Add your choice of toppings such as avocado, salsa, or olives, or serve these on the side.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can heat the plate of nachos in the microwave, but you’ll probably end up with soggy tortilla chips. You'll always get the best results by using your oven.
