How to Make Peach Cobbler

Hot peach cobbler is a wonderful winter treat, and slightly warm cobbler is great in summer. This recipe is easy to make and it tastes good at any time of the year. Does this Spark an idea?

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 can (30oz) sliced peaches in corn syrup
  • 1 tbs cinnamon
  • Sugar

Instructions

      Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).

      Melt the butter and spread it over the bottom of a 9-by-13 inch casserole dish.

      Mix the flour, baking powder and 1 cup of sugar in a bowl.

      Add the milk and the syrup from the can of peaches to the dry ingredients and mix.

      Lay the drained peaches in the casserole dish.

      Pour the batter over the peaches.

      Combine the cinnamon and the remaining sugar then sprinkle over the batter.

      Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the crust is golden brown.

Tips & Warnings

  • Test to see if it's ready by inserting a skewer into the topping. If it's done, the batter won't stick to the skewer.
