From tiny electronic components to larger, heavier work, soldering is an extremely useful skill to have, and necessary for some jobs. If you are a beginner, then grab your tools and follow along.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Tin the wires to prep them. This means touching the soldering iron to the wires for a couple of seconds, then touching the solder to the wires.

  2. Step 2

    Touch the solder to the iron over the joint that you need to solder to melt the solder and form a bead, which should go on the connection.

Tips & Warnings
  • Different kinds of solder will require different temperatures.
