How to Sync Your Music Collection to the Sony Network Walkman
One great thing about portable music players is their storage capacity. These tiny devices can hold hours and hours of music, ready for you to play at the touch of a button. But first, you need to add the music files from your computer to your player. If you have a Sony Network Walkman, you need to sync the music collection to the player using Windows Media Player.

Decide which songs you'd like to transfer to your Sony Network Walkman. Convert them from your audio CDs into audio files, or download your songs from the Internet in MP3 format and save them to the music library in Windows Media Player.

Connect the Sony Network Walkman to your personal computer using the USB cable.

Select the songs you want to transfer to your Walkman and copy them into your Windows Media Library. This can be done by clicking the Media Library tab in the Windows Media Player.

For easier transferring of songs, create a playlist for the contents you choose . Check out sites online or go to the Help option in Windows Media Player.

Select the contents you wanted to be copied by selecting them all and right-clicking. After that, choose the tab Copy to CD or Device. Click on the up in the right corner and wait for the songs to be copied into the portable device.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure that your computer has the latest version of Windows Media Player installed. The most recent versions of Windows Media Player can be found online.
You may need to visit the Sony website to find the most recent drivers for your Sony Network Walkman. Install these drivers should you have problems with the syncing process.
Open the Tools menu, and then click the Search for Media Files option in order to add the contents from the computer to your Media File.
If you are unable to copy song files to your Sony Network Walkman, the files may be copyright protected.
