How to Sync Your Music Collection to the iRiver H10 With Windows Media Player

With the iRiver H10, you can record up to 10,000 songs on the portable music player’s 20GB hard drive, which means you can sync your music collection to the iRiver H10 with Windows Media Player. Things You’ll Need:

• iRiver H10
• Computer running Microsoft OS
• USB cable

1. Connect your iRiver H10 to your computer with the USB cable. Make sure that it is properly connected to the USB port.
2. Run Windows Media Player. Click the Menu button, and then click on Library. Your music collection currently stored on your computer will be displayed.
3. Click the Sync menu. Select H10 from the download list on the right side of the Sync screen.
4. Click Start Sync to start downloading the selected items on the Sync list to your MP3 player. As the files are being transferred, you will see a progress indicator that will display approximately how much of the sync task has been completed.
5. Wait for the computer to completely sync the selected music files and play lists. When finished, the Synchronized to Device list on the left section of the Windows Media Player screen will show all the transferred songs, as well as the folder where these songs were saved.
6. Disconnect your iRiver H10 from your computer by unplugging the USB cable.

Tips & Warnings

• You can also choose to automatically sync your selected audio files whenever you connect the iRiver to your computer. Just choose Auto Sync in the Set Up Sync menu in Windows Media Player.
• Get the latest version of Windows Media Player from the official Microsoft download site. You can also update the iRiver’s drivers online to keep the player and your computer working well together.
• Copyright protected files will not be synced to the iRiver H10.
