How to Sync Your Music Collection to the RCA Lyra Using Windows Media Player
If you are a music fan, you don't have to leave your song collection at home on your computer. Portable music players like the RCA Lyra allow you to store entire stacks worth of CD's that have been ripped to audio files on your computer. To get these files in the palm of your hand, you need to sync your music collection to the RCA Lyra with Windows Media Player.

Connect your Lyra to the computer with a mini-USB cable, which is provided along with the portable media player. Make sure that the cable is properly connected to the correct USB port, otherwise you will fail to sync your audio files.

Open Windows Media Player. Click on Tools, and then choose Options.

Open the Copy/Rip pane. Make sure that the Copy Protect Media is not checked. Rip or copy your audio files to a normal music file or folder on the computer using your Windows Media Player.

Go to Sync function of your RCA Lyra. Hit the Edit Playlist tab, and then choose the audio files you have just ripped or copied.

Start syncing by clicking the Start button. Your selected music should be transferred to your portable media player. If your computer can't detect the RCA player, unplug it and then re-launch Windows Media Player.

Give your computer time to complete the sync. After the process has been completed, hit the Unplug or Reject Hardware icon.

Disconnect your RCA Lyra from the computer.

Tips & Warnings
For faster transfer of audio files, connect your Lyra to the computer's USB port using a USB cable. Choose and highlight all the audio tracks you wish to transfer and drag it all to your Lyra drive.
Connect the AC/DC adapter to your RCA Lyra before beginning the syncing process to ensure best operation.
Avoid unplugging your USB cable during the syncing process. You may corrupt some system files or the file being downloaded.
