Step 1
Set your budget for wedding favors. A wedding is a multi-faceted and expensive event, so spending too much money on favors will detract from the overall quality of the event.
-
Step 2
Examine your other choices of flowers, bridesmaid’s dresses and colors. Find a common element that ties these choices together.
-
Step 3
Comparison shop for favors that feature this common element. Pay attention to your budget as you make a list of gifts.
-
Step 4
Run through your list of items. Look for favors that really jump out at you and say “Thank you for attending my wedding.”
-
Step 5
Select the favor or group of favors that works the best as a thank you gift. Order enough to fit the expected number of guests at the reception.

on 10/5/2008 Excellent points. One of my favorites is not to make your final purchases of the favors until you know the exact number of guests. This protects from over and under purchasing.
