An absolutely delicious chili dip that is worth the cooking time, and is perfect for entertaining guests or as an appetizer.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 pound ground turkey breast
  • 1 finely chopped medium onion
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons dark chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 can, 8 ounces, tomato sauce
  • 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 12 ounce block cream cheese
  • Crackers, chips or whatever you want to dip with
  • Medium skillet
  • Large serving bowl
  1. Step 1

    Heat your skillet over medium heat.

  2. Step 2

    Next, add olive oil and ground turkey, cook until brown.

  3. Step 3

    Then add garlic and onions and season with salt, pepper, chili power and cumin.

  4. Step 4

    Allow to cook for 10 minutes.

  5. Step 5

    Next, add 8 ounces tomato sauce and heat thoroughly.

  6. Step 6

    Cut cream cheese into small pieces and stir in, let the pieces melt and combine with the dip.

  7. Step 7

    Turn off heat and pour dip into your large serving bowl.

  8. Step 8

    Serve with your dipping snack of choice.

Tips & Warnings
  • For added flavor and texture you can top off your finished dip with a few tablespoons of chopped green pimiento olives.
  • Always watch the amount of heat you are using throughout. It is very easy to burn or dry out ingredients such as these.
