If you love your garden, then you are probably looking for ways to start your seeds early. A greenhouse keeps your little seeds warm and comfy, and can help you grow plants in a cooler climate as well. If you want to build your own, you should know your limitations of budget and space before you go looking for plans. Once you are ready, follow these steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • A kit or pattern
  • The pieces for assembly

Step1
Measure the area that you want your greenhouse to take up. You can plan for a pre-made greenhouse, which you buy in pieces and assemble, or you can follow plans from scratch.
Step2
Make sure that your plans and designs fit your space needs, including the height available. Also remember to consider things like drainage if your greenhouse will be in a downhill area.
Step3
Assemble your kit or follow the plans according to the directions.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are unsure about a particular direction in the assembly instructions, ask someone at your local hardware store to clarify, or call the manufacturer.
