On the day of your wedding, you want everything to be as stress-free as possible. You will want to have a plan for everything that happens on your wedding day to make the day run smoothly. Before the wedding, you will want to coordinate getting your hair and makeup done with your bridesmaids to ensure that your bridesmaids are on time to the salon or wherever you are getting your hair and makeup done.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • schedule
  • hair salon

Step1
Set up the appointment to get your hair and makeup done ahead of time. Decide where you and your bridesmaids are going to get your hair and makeup done and set up an appointment. Let the salon know how many people will be coming in so they will have enough employees available.
Step2
Plan to have bridesmaids from out of town arrive the day before so they will make the appointment. If a flight is late and the bridesmaid is flying in on the day of the wedding it could be a major problem. Have the bridesmaids in town at least one day before the wedding to avoid any problems.
Step3
Tell your bridesmaids where they need to be and what time they need to be there so no one will be running late. Make sure your bridesmaids know the specific details. If the bridesmaids don’t know where to go, show them ahead of time how to get to the salon.
Step4
Remind the bridesmaids before the wedding day about the appointment to get their hair and makeup done. Call your bridesmaids occasionally and remind them about the appointment time and the place they need to be.
Step5
Plan a breakfast with your bridesmaids before the appointment to ensure nobody is late. If one of your bridesmaids isn’t at breakfast, you will have time to find them before the appointment to get your hair and makeup done.

Tips & Warnings

  • Decide what kinds of hairstyles you want before the wedding day. Waiting until the last minute to decide hair styles could waste valuable time.
  • Bring a veil or any hairpieces you will be wearing to the wedding to the hair and makeup appointment.
  • Don’t plan any drastic changes in your hairstyles the day of the wedding. Don’t color your hair or cut a bunch off if you are unsure what it will look like.
  • Don’t make your hair and makeup appointment too close to the wedding. Make the appointment early in the day.
