The melon daiquiri is a favorite order at bars all over the world. It's so good you'll want to make it at home. By leaving out the rum, you can whip up a non-alcoholic drink for the kids to enjoy. Here's how to make a non-alcoholic melon daiquiri.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Lime wedge
  • Lime juice
  • Sugar
  • Glassware
  • Lemon-lime soda
  • Blender
  • Ice
  • Vanilla extract
  • Melon syrup
  • 4 oz. lemon-lime soda
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • ¼ oz. vanilla extract
  • 2 oz. melon syrup
  • 2 oz. lime juice
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 1 cup of ice

Step1
Put one cup of ice into a blender.
Step2
Pour in the vanilla, sugar, melon syrup, lime juice and lemon-lime soda.
Step3
Replace the lid of the blender, and blend the mixture until it is smooth.
Step4
Pour contents into a tall glass and garnish with a lime wedge.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the concoction is too thick in the blender, add more lemon-lime soda.
  • Melon syrup is available at most coffee-supply stores.
  • For a fresher taste, replace the melon syrup with a half cup of diced fresh melon.
  • Be sure the lid of the blender is secured tightly.
