How to Make a Painkiller

The painkiller is a strong mixed drink originally made in the British Virgin Islands. Make a painkiller (or two or three) when you want to numb away any physical ache. Keep your sense of taste though, this drink is surprisingly strong for how delicious it is.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2 oz. rum
  • 3 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. orange juice
  • 1 oz. coconut milk
  • 1 maraschino cherry
  • pineapple juice
  • coconut milk
  • rum
  • martini shaker
  • maraschino cherry
  • glassware
  • orange juice
Step1
Fill a martini shaker half-full with ice.
Step2
Pour in the rum, juices and coconut milk. Replace the lid of the shaker.
Step3
Shake until the outside of the shaker is frosted with condensation.
Step4
Strain the contents into a tall glass that is filled with ice.
Step5
Garnish with a cherry and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings

  • Fresh juice and coconut milk are recommended.
  • Don't drink and drive.
