During Prohibition, bartenders made Long Island iced tea as a cocktail disguised as a nonalcoholic drink. Some even claim it tastes just like tea. So if you want to go clandestine with your booze, or you simply love the taste, follow these steps to make a Long Island iced tea.

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. tequila
  • 1 oz. rum
  • 1 oz. gin
  • 1 oz. triple sec
  • 1.5 oz. sour mix
  • 1 splash cola
  • Ice
  • Lemon slice
  • Rum
  • Triple sec
  • Vola
  • Glassware
  • Gin
  • Vodka
  • Ice
  • Sour mix
  • Lemon
  • Tequilla
  1. Step 1

    Fill a glass with ice.

  2. Step 2

    Pour all the liquid ingredients in the glass and stir.

  3. Step 3

    Garnish with a slice of lemon if desired.
