A mimosa is an upscale wine cocktail that originated at the Ritz Hotel in Paris in 1925. It is sweet and elegant and often served to wedding guests or first-class airline passengers. Follow these steps to make your own.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Put ice into a wine glass until it is half-full.
Step2
Pour orange juice into the glass until it is half-full, or until the juice covers the ice.
Step3
Uncork a fresh bottle of champagne.
Step4
Finish filling the glass with champagne and swirl the glass to mix the concoction.

Tips & Warnings

  • Freshly squeezed orange juice and quality champagne make the best-tasting mimosas.
  • To make a nonalcoholic mimosa, replace the champagne with lemon-lime soda.
