How to Find a Nude Beach in Mexico

Nude beaches are increasing in popularity. As society becomes less inhibited, people are becoming more comfortable with pushing the boundaries of modesty and exploring nude beaches. Use this information to find a nude beach in Mexico.

1. Zipolite is the only official nude beach in Mexico, although there are other unofficial nude beaches at local resorts.

2. Once on the beach, head to the west end during the peak season. During the off-season, most nude sunbathers can be found below Gloria's Shambhala.

3. In Zipolite expect to go natural everywhere, not just at the beach.
   

4. Most of the nudists are Europeans. The people you will find at Zipolite are very casual and like to enjoy themselves.

5. Zipolite is a very economical destination. There are no large hotels, pools, cable TV or air conditioning in Zipolite.

6. Besides being known for its nude beach, Zipolite is also famous for drug use. Families may want to stay away from Zipolite.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not swim in Zipolite! Many people have drowned as a result of the currents, riptides and undertows.
• Lock up all valuables. Robberies are common.
