In the north and west, there's one option if you want a recognized nude beach: Wreck Beach in Vancouver. Brunswick Beach and the Lillooet River Hot Springs in Vancouver also are used by nude sunbathers and swimmers.

The hot springs at Fairmont and Halcyon in the Kootenay Mountains are often frequented by naturists, as are a number of beaches on Vancouver Island.

When in Manitoba, there are two beaches you should visit--Patricia and Beaconia, both north of Winnipeg.

Want to go au natural in Ontario? The beach at Hanlan's Point on Toronto Island has been officially designated as clothing-optional. Nudity is also allowed in Macrae Lake, Lake Congo and the Port Burwell Provincial Park on Lake Erie.

In Quebec, you have a several options. Visit Gatineau Park at Meech Lake, Val d'Or (located just northwest of Montreal), the miles of beach at Plage de la Pointe Taillon on Lac Saint-Jean or Plage de Boom Defence in Gaspe.

If you're in the eastern end of Canada, you'll find numerous choices: Blooming Point Beach on Prince Edward Island, Kelly's Beach and Kouchibouguac National Park in New Brunswick and Annapolis River Island and Crystal Crescent Beach in Nova Scotia.
