How to Host Email Using Godaddy

With so many email options available, it can be easy to sign up for too many accounts and wind up overwhelmed. Make it simple. With your own online domain at GoDaddy, having a professional email can happen with the click of a button.

Determine Your Email Goals

Step1
Decide how many email addresses you need. GoDaddy offers email packages ranging from one address to 100, so it is important to determine your needs as a host.
Step2
Set aside 10 minutes to establish your email account with GoDaddy. Typically, email service is available 15 minutes after setting up an account.
Step3
Determine your funding source for your chosen email package. GoDaddy accepts credit cards, PayPal, checks and gift certificates as payment.

Check Availability

Step1
Start at the homepage for GoDaddy (see Resources). This is where you set up the email accounts you'll be using.
Step2
Select "Email" on the green bar containing topic options. A drop down menu will be displayed.
Step3
Scroll down and select "Email Accounts." This takes you to the page showine various account options.
Step4
Choose to host your email with the Complete Plan, Deluxe Plan or Premium Plan based on your previously determined email needs.
Step5
Enter the email name you'd like to have and then select a host domain from the options GoDaddy provides.
Step6
Accept or decline the option for spam filtering. Choose whether or not to have email sent to your new GoDaddy address or to an additional account and personalize your general settings.
Step7
Proceed to "Checkout" by clicking on the corresponding icon. There you'll purchase your email domain.
Step8
Enter your preferred payment information. Complete the transaction to purchase your GoDaddy account.

Step1

Step2
Create email campaigns with GoDaddy's Express Email Marketing tools. These have friendly features that allow clients to choose whether to join or remain on your email list.

  • For maximum privacy and safety while using your email addresses, use GoDaddy's security features. These include spam filtering, virus protection, encryption and technology designed to stop "phishing" (malicious emails that claim to be from companies the sender is unassociated with).
