Step1
Book lodging through the Wilmot Mountain Web site (see Resources below) or call (262) 862-2301.
Step2
Consider booking lodging in Illinois, one of Wisconsin's Midwest neighbors, for your ski trip to Wilmot Mountain. Both Lincolnshire and Antioch feature moderately priced chain hotels convenient to major highways.
Step3

Get to Know Your Ski Destination

Step1
Fly to the Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) or the General Mitchell International Airport (MKE). Both are about an hour's drive from the ski area.
Step2
Check the snow report of the Wilmot Mountain Web site or call (773) 736-0787 (Chicago) or (414) 344-2266 (Milwaukee).
Step3
Understand that Wilmot Mountain is not a natural mountain. The ski area is actually built over a landfill, and the original owners and operators pioneered the art of snow-making.

Prepare for the Slopes at Wilmot Mountain

Step1
Take ski or snowboard lesson, available at the ski area. Lessons come with the rental fees, and the landscape of the area is ideal for beginner snow sport enthusiasts.

Step3
Enjoy the 25 runs that boast wide open spaces good for beginner skiers and snowboarders. Get to the trails from one of the eight chairlifts or three rope tows Wilmot Mountain provides its visitors.
Step4
Snowboard at Wilmot Mountain's terrain park. The terrain park features ramps for jumps and tricks, and is fun for beginner and expert snowboarders alike.
Step5
Race in the junior and adult race programs offered at Wilmot. The races are a popular part of the Wisconsin snow sport tradition, and are a fun activity option for your ski trip at the resort.
Step6
Relax with food and refreshments from the cafeteria and bar located on the resort at Wilmot. Try the cheese fries and pizza from the Pizza Barn between skiing the trails.
