Standing Rocks Park is a ski area just outside of Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The park features views of Bear Lake from the mountains and challenging cross country skiing through dense forest.

Book Lodging and Transportation for Standing Rocks

1. Book accommodations in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, via the Wisconsin Department of Tourism Web site (see Resources below) or call [phone].
2. Choose from among several inexpensive chain-style hotels in Stevens Point that are a short trip from Standing Rocks.
3. Fly to Standing Rocks via Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA), less than an hour's drive away.
4. Rent a car to drive to Standing Rocks, or take your own vehicle. There are no easily accessible public transportation options to get to the ski area.

5. Check local snow conditions at the Ski Engine Web site (see Resources below) before your trip.
6. Admire Standing Rocks Park's beautiful cross country skiing courses during your trip. The course has about 10 miles of skiing with over half of the trails designed for intermediate and expert skiers due to long distances and numerous hills.

8. Notice the groomed trails at Standing Rocks Park. They're groomed regularly for both skate skiing and diagonal stride.
9. Enjoy downhill skiing during the snow season with two beginner, one intermediate and two expert hills. The longest run at Standing Rocks is 1,200 feet, and the vertical drop is 125 feet.
10. Sip a hot drink in the lodge, or pick up an extra pair of gloves at the ski shop. Both are open on the weekends only, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
