Book a Devil's Head Ski Trip

Step1
Book a room at the Devil's Head Resort at the Inn or the Lodge where you're just 30 seconds away from the slopes. Look for special discounts on the resort Web site for midweek skiing packages (see Resources below). You can also call (800) 472-6670 for reservations.
Step2
Explore indoor water park hotels and family-friendly accommodations in nearby Wisconsin Dells.
Step3
Rent a rustically styled vacation cabin in Merrimac where you'll find two and three-bedroom cabins for moderate rates.
Step4
Head northwest from Madison and Milwaukee on I-90/I-94. From there, Highway 78 will take you to Highway DL and Bluff Road, off of which Devil's Head is located.
Step5
Check the ski conditions at the official Web site for Devil's Head Resort (see Resources below). Keep an eye out for open runs, and be sure to look for an extended forecast for the Merrimac, Wisconsin area.

Ski Devil's Head

Step1
Buy a lift ticket online via the Devil's Head Web site (see Resources below). Ski all day or take advantage of night skiing from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. You can also save big by buying a ticket for the rope tow.
Step2
Leave your skis at home and rent instead. Rent skis or snowboards for the day or take advantage of lower night skiing prices.
Step3
Start your day off right by taking a quick private or group ski lesson. Lessons are available from instructors certified by Professional Ski Instructors of America from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Step4
Bring the kids! Check out the daycare services, kids' lessons and special ski programs just for kids.

Tips & Warnings

  • After a long day on the slopes, hit the lodge for a cozy drink by the fire.
  • Book online to receive additional discounts and convenient package deals.
  • Book a weekday trip and receive a discount price on women's lift tickets on Women's Wednesdays.
  • Check out the "Wonder Carpet" lift, which takes you to the top of the beginner slopes.
  • The slopes are closed from 5 to 6 p.m. every day for grooming.
