Book a Ski Trip to Wintergreen

Step1
Book your accommodations right on the Wintergreen, Virginia Web site (see Resources below). Just enter your preferred arrival and departure dates to view lodging availability and rates.
Step2
Call 1-800-926-3723 to book by phone, as well as to book packages, four-bedroom lodging and rental homes. In general, accommodations at Wintergreen are moderately priced.
Step3
Opt to stay in a furnished studio if you're going to Wintergreen on your own, or rent a seven-bedroom villa for a large group of friends. Available amenities include full kitchens, decks and hot-tubs. If you rent something larger than a studio, you can plan on having a cozy fireplace.
Step4
Purchase your season passes online at the Wintergreen Web site (see Resources below). If you buy your lift ticket the day you arrive, you may be charged an additional fee.
Step5
Buy a rental pass online as well if you know you will be renting equipment. These are sold with the Ski & Ride Season Pass. Season rental passes are reasonably priced--definitely cheaper than buying a full set of ski equipment!

Enjoy Your Ski Trip to Wintergreen

Step1
Reserve some time in the spa. After a long day or skiing your muscles may be sore, and the Jacuzzi will feel terrific.
Step2
Register for a lesson at the resort before you arrive. The Wintergren Snowsports School has one-to-three-hour lessons for adults as well as lessons for age 6 and up. Specialized lessons are available for smaller children. Prices vary, so be sure to consult the Web site for updated information (see Resources below).
Step3
Take advantage of the learning money-back guarantee. If you do not learn to do basic maneuvers after the first lesson, you can repeat the lesson again for free.
Step4
Treat your colleagues to a vacation: chip in for a corporate rental pass if you work in Virginia. You'll get four transferable passes marked with your company name.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to check the current ski report on the Wintergreen Web site before you set off on your trip (see Resources below). You should find it right on the home page.
  • Book online to see a detailed checklist of amenities available at Wintergreen properties.
