In operation for over 35 years, Massanutten, Virginia is a family-friendly ski resort that has activities year-round. You'll find Massanutten just off Interstate 81, about 10 minutes from Harrisonburg, Virginia. There are 14 ski trails to choose from, all equally divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain and lit for night skiing. The total vertical drop of the mountain is 1,100 feet, with a summit reaching to about 2,900 feet.

Choose from condos or hotel rooms when you stay at Massanutten. If you're in a larger group, a condo is ideal--the most spacious ones have four bedrooms, full kitchens, fireplaces, decks and hot tubs.

Check out the current rates for passes and make sure to look for discounts--you may get up to 10 percent off if you buy early. Passes and lift tickets at the resort are relatively inexpensive.
