How to Go Skiing in Boston Mills, Ohio

Boston Mills is a full-service ski resort found in Ohio. It is partnered with the Brandywine Ski Resort. Although the resorts remain separate, it is possible for visitors to one of the resorts to use lift tickets at the other. Both resorts offer a wide range of amenities, such as dining options, ski lessons and equipment rentals, giving visitors twice as much to choose from.

  1. Step 1

    Book lodgings via the Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau Web site (see Resources below) or call 800-245-4254.

  2. Step 2

    Stay at a B&B inn for more personal service. There are several located near the Cuyahoga Valley National Park that are moderately priced.

  3. Step 3

    Book a room at one of the inexpensive 2- and 3-star hotels in nearby Peninsula, Ohio. Most of the hotels in the city are from well-known brands that offer clean rooms and superior service.

    Check the snow report on the Boston Mills/Brandywine Web site (see Resources below) before you leave on your vacation. The resort has been known to shut down during unseasonably warm periods during the winter.

    Consider purchasing the Beginner Intro Package to start your trip off on the right note. For an affordable price, you can get a 1-day ticket, equipment rental and general beginner lesson.

    Make time for a family ski lesson. Sunday nights at Boston Mills are Family Nights, where families can take a group ski lesson for a nominal fee.

    Prepare to enjoy 19 slopes and a 240-foot vertical drop.

    Purchase a season pass from the comfort of your home. Season passes can be ordered safely online via the Boston Mills Web site.

    Plan to fly to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in Ohio, less than an hour from Boston Mills.

Tips & Warnings
  • When ordering a season pass, be sure to give yourself plenty of time for delivery.
  • When you book online, you can also buy gift certificates for traveling companions or loved ones.
  • Keep in mind that the Beginner Intro Package includes an all-day ticket to the beginner area of the ski resort. It cannot be upgraded to an all-access pass.
