Nestled in the center of the famed Ohio 'snowbelt,' Alpine Valley is a large-scale, full-service resort that has been delighting visitors for nearly 50 years. With 11 trails and an area dedicated to extreme winter sports, Alpine Valley is a great place to come for exercise, entertainment and fun.

Find Accommodations Near Alpine Valley

Step1
Book accommodations at the Lake County Visitors Bureau Web site (see Resources below) or call 800-368-LAKE.
Step2
Book a room at one of the lovely bed and breakfasts in nearby Chardon or Burton, Ohio. You can find a room in a historic house for a moderate price. Your accommodations will also include homemade breakfast every morning to give you plenty of energy for tackling the slopes.
Step3
Select one of the vacation rentals near Alpine Valley for private accommodations in a home-like setting. Rates are moderately priced and include use of an entire chalet.
Step4
Choose one of the affordable hotels and inns found around Alpine Valley. There are several family-run and big-name hotels in the immediate area.

Prepare for Your Ski Trip to Alpine Valley

Step1
Sleep in on the weekdays. Alpine Valley isn't open until 1:00 pm on weekdays, but you can hit the slopes at 9:00 am on Saturdays and Sundays.
Step2
Check out the snow report on the Alpine Valley Web site before you start out on your vacation (see Resources below). As with most mountain resorts, weather conditions can vary rapidly at Alpine Valley, especially in the winter time. It's best to make sure conditions are ideal before you start your trip.
Step3
Buy your tickets early to enjoy 'early bird' specials. Approximately 1 hour before the slopes open, discounted tickets are available from the ticket counter. You can save up to 40 percent on your tickets with this deal.
Step4
Get ready to enjoy 11 trails and a 230-foot vertical drop from a summit elevation of 1,500 feet.

Book Your Ski Trip to Alpine Valley

Step1
Purchase your tickets when you get to Alpine Valley. Currently, the resort offers no way to buy advance tickets online. You'll need to go to the ticket desk on arrival to get your daily all-access pass.
Step2
Buy your Alpine Valley Select Pass early to enjoy up to four consecutive hours per week at the resort throughout the season. You can find a Select Pass registration form on the Alpine Valley Web site. This form must be signed and faxed to 1-440-285-4844 to be processed correctly.
Step3
Prepare to fly to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in Ohio, less than an hour from the ski area.
