Step2
Book an affordable room at a nearby locally owned hotel for low rates and cozy accommodations just a few miles from Cataloochee.
Step3
Stay in a sweet mountain chalet close to the Cataloochee Ski Area. All of the cabins in the area are fully equipped, and many come with private hot tubs. Rates range from inexpensive to moderate.
Step4
Take your family to one of the participating area hotels to save money. Cataloochee Ski Area has partnered with 55 local hotels to ensure visitors with children under 17 get a break on their vacation costs. Travelers under 17 stay free at these hotels and get a free ski ticket, good for use from Monday to Thursday.

Arrange your skiing lessons in advance by filling out a form on the Cataloochee Ski Area Web site. You'll be contacted by a customer service representative to schedule a class during your visit.

Book a flight to the Asheville Regional Airport in North Carolina, the closest airport to Cataloochee.
