Book Your Ski Trip to West Mountain

Step1
Go to the 'Accommodations' page of the West Mountain Web site to see a list of nearby lodgings that offer special 'ski and stay' packages (see Resources below). Follow the links on the West Mountain site to see the individual Web pages for the various accommodations.
Step2
Opt to book online directly by visiting the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association Web site (see Resources below). Type 'Glens Falls' into the city search field. If you need further assistance, call 800/CALL-NYS to reach a New York State Tourism Office travel counselor.
Step3
Choose from a variety of moderately priced chain hotels and motels. If you have something more unique in mind, there are a few privately owned establishments in the area, too, from cabins tucked away in the woods to more luxurious and romantic options.
Step4
Buy your lift tickets online for maximum convenience. Go to the Web site and put the cursor on 'tickets and passes' (see Resources below). You can purchase season passes on the Web site as well. For assistance, dial the resort at 518-793-6606.
Step5
Enter the names of your family members if you're buying a season family pass. Select all of your desired items, then click 'Go to Checkout.'
Step6
Surprise a friend with a West Mountain gift certificate. These are also available online.

Enjoy Your Ski Trip to West Mountain

Step1
Begin your excursion at the tube park. There is a lift to get you to the top and eight fun chutes to slide down. This is one of the only ski resorts in New York to provide such facilities.
Step2
Polish up your skis before you head out. If you don't have your own skis yet, go ahead and bring enough cash with you to rent them when you get there. You can get skis, boots and poles for a reasonable price here. You must present a valid credit card to rent equipment.
Step3
View a detailed ski conditions report on the West Mountain Web site before you head out (see Resources below). It's the first link under the 'Mountain' menu on the home page. You'll be able to see if any trails are closed and a brief snow surface condition for each run.

Tips & Warnings

  • Book online to take advantage of special rates that are sometimes only available over the Internet.
