Choose to stay at a budget-friendly motel in Tuxedo, or spend a bit more to enjoy bed and breakfast in Fort Montgomery. If you feel like having a rustic retreat, you might opt for a cozy, moderately priced cabin in the Bear Mountain area.

View lift ticket rates on the Tuxedo Ridge Web site (see Resources below). You should find the prices to be fairly reasonable.

Get your car serviced before you make the trip to Tuxedo Ridge. Although the resort is only about an hour from New York City, the mountain is mostly a day resort. Don't get stranded in the snowy weather.
