Gore Mountain Ski Area in New York is a fantastic place to plan your next ski trip to. The ski area has been operating since 1930 and is proud of its tradition and what it has to offer. The lift attendants will make your trip safer and you can attend the ski school to improve your skills.

Book Lodging at Gore Mountain

Step1
Book lodging by visiting the Gore Mountain Web site (see Resources below), or by calling them directly at 518-251-2411.
Step2
Know that Gore Mountain, New York has partnered with a wide variety of local hotels that offer package deals. These include ski and stay packages at hotels, bed and breakfasts, motels, cabins, and townhouses, with prices ranging from budget to expensive.
Step3
Choose a room at one of Gore Mountain Ski Area's many offerings, such as the Bear Pine Cottage and the Summit at Gore Mountain Townhomes. The Bear Pine Cottage offers suites with two bedrooms and one bath, and is fully furnished. The Townhomes have master bedrooms with private baths, and some have jacuzzis.

Get to Know Gore Mountain Ski Area

Step1
Land at the Albany International Airport in Albany, New York. The airport is approximately 78 miles from Gore Mountain. To arrive by car from Albany, take New York State Thruway to Exit 24. Then take I-87 to Exit 23. Continue on route 9 to route 28 and continue until you reach Gore Mountain. Know that Gore Mountain's summit elevation is 3,600 feet. The vertical drop is 2,100 feet. Gore Mountain has an average snowfall of 150 inches.

Enjoy Gore Mountain's 65 trails. There are 11 lifts and snowmaking covers 95 percent of the ski area.

Know that Gore Mountain has the Nastar Race Arena, which is a large racing program. The Nastar course is a dual slalom course. A handicap system is available so that racers of different skills can compete against each other.
