Cortina Mountain resort in Catskill Park, New York is a fun place to plan your next ski trip. Cortina Mountain is conveniently located close to Albany and New York city. The ski resort is fairly popular due to it's location, but it has plenty of accommodations for your next skip trip.

Book Lodging at Cortina Mountain

Step1
Book lodging by visiting the Cortina Mountain Web site (see Resources below), or by calling them directly at 1-866-9-CORTINA.
Step2
Know that Cortina Mountain in New York, has partnered with the Cortina Valley Country Mountain Resort Inn.
Step3
Book a room at the Cortina Valley Country Mountain Resort Inn. The Inn has 20 rooms with cable TV and a bathroom. Weekend and mid-week discount packages are available. The Friday and Saturday night stay package offers free video game rentals, unlimited access to the snow tubing and skate parks, and 10 percent off all other activities.

Get to Know Cortina Mountain Ski Area

Step1
Land at Albany International Airport in Albany, NY. The airport is approximately 40 miles from Cortina Mountain. To arrive by car from Albany, take the New York Throughway (I-87 S) to exit 21. Then take 9W South to 23A West to Haines Falls and Cortina Valley. For driving instructions from other areas, visit the Cortina Mountain Web site (see Resources below) and click 'Directions' for detailed driving instructions.

Take the Adirondack Trailways Bus. It stops in Tannersville and Haines Falls, New York.
Step3
Know that Cortina Mountain's summit elevation is 2,650 feet and the Base Elevation is 1,925 feet. The vertical drop is 725 feet. Cortina Mountain has an average snowfall of 100 inches.
Step4
Know that Cortina Mountain has 18 trails. The longest run is 5,280 feet. There are 4 lifts and snowmaking covers 100 percent of the ski area. Cortina Mountain also offers night skiing.

Prepare for the Slopes at Cortina Mountain Ski Area

Know that Cortina Mountain has a 4-lane snow tubing park. There is a minimum height requirement of 42 inches.
