Open since 1885, Belleayre Mountain, New York offers excellent skiing that is only about 130 miles from New York City. Before the first chair lift opened in 1949, skiers used to make the trip up the mountain to experience the fresh snow by hiking. Belleayre has grown considerably since then, making it much easier to book your ski trip--with no hiking required!
