Step1
Brave the colder temperatures and arrive Saturday afternoon for a night of skiing. The mountain is open Saturdays and select Wednesday nights.
Step2
Get the kids out on a snowboard with a learn to ride lesson. A 2-hour lesson includes board rental and lift ticket for kids ages 8 to 14 years old.
Step3
Check out the specials at Cranmore Mountain. Book multi-day packages that come complete with lift ticket and equipment rental. They are often cheaper and save you the hassle of buying a ticket daily.

Step5
Stay on top of the powder by setting up your cell phone to receive the new snow reports. Log on to register your number at the Cranmore Mountain Web site (see Resources below).

Tips & Warnings

  • Book your accommodations online. The Internet is a good place to find package deals on rooms that include discount ski tickets and meals.
  • Don't worry about packing ski or snowboard gear. Cranmore Mountain has a new rental center on the mountain ready to outfit you with the latest equipment.
  • Dress for the weather when you're out in the mountains. Layers are best because you can remove them one at at time as the day gets warmer or add another if the weather turns cold.
  • Put together a winter kit and take it with you when you head to the mountains for a ski trip. Since winter weather can prove unpredictable, it makes sense to carry extra food and water in addition to warm clothing.
