Secure Travel and Accommodations for Your Ski Trip

Step1
Enjoy the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip. You should have no problem finding a hotel room on the strip for a relatively cheap price--even the swankiest establishments often offer packages that let you book for less.
Step2
Check out the Official Las Vegas, Nevada Tourism Web site to search for accommodations in the city (see Resources below). You'll be able to see photos of properties along with contact info and links to their various Web sites. Call 1-877-VISIT-LV to book accommodations through a tourism representative.
Step3
Book your flight reservations with Delta, Frontier or WestJet. The Las Vegas, Nevada International Airport is served by these carriers. It is the closest commercial airport to the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort.
Step4
Catch a ride. Most Las Vegas hotels will offer a complimentary shuttle from the airport to the hotel. If you don't want to take the trip on the shuttle, you will need to book a rental car, which you should be able to do for a low to moderate price.

Make Arrangements for Tickets, Lessons and Equipment

Step1
Budget for your lift tickets. Half-day passes are relatively easy on the wallet at about 3/4 as much as full-day passes, while juniors and senior citizens get a discount. Consider a season pass if you're a frequent visitor to the mountain.
Step2
Rent your ski equipment packages at the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort. Prices will vary based on the brand of equipment that you choose as well as the number of items that you will need.

Learn About the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort

Step1
Expand your familiarity with the ski area. The base elevation is 8,510 feet, the summit elevation is 9,370 feet and there is a vertical drop of 860 feet. The resort receives an average of 120 inches of snow a year, and relies 75 percent on snow-making.
Step2
Find your way up the mountain. Las Vegas Ski offers 4 different lifts with an uphill capacity of 3,500 skiers per hour. They include 1 surface lift, 1 triple chair lift and 2 double chair lifts.
Step3
Rate the runs. 20 percent of the 11 runs are fine for beginners, 60 percent are suitable for intermediate skiers and 20 percent are designed for advanced skiers.
