    Book Your Travel Accommodations and Transportation

  1. Step 1

    Take advantage of ski-and-stay packages offered by Moonlight Basin. 3 night/2 day, 4 night/3 day and 5 night/4 day combos are all available. These packages include ski in/ski out accommodations and ski lift passes. Prices for these packages are quite reasonable. You can book online through the Web site (see Resources below) or by calling 866-212-0612.

  2. Step 2

    Select from cabins, mountain homes, townhouses, penthouses, deluxe suites and elegant private homes, all within easy reach of the slopes. Many rooms have private Jacuzzis, and most have fireplaces.

  3. Step 3

    Begin your ski trip at Bozeman's Gallatin Field Airport, which is served by several major carriers.

    Make reservations for a rental car to get you to and from the Moonlight Basin Ski area. Moonlight Basin is about 45 miles south of Bozeman, Montana. The resort can also arrange transportation for you: call 877-822-0430 for details.

    View current lift ticket prices online at the Moonlight Basin Web site (see Resources below), then purchase them once you arrive at the resort.

    Learn about special lift pass deals offered by Moonlight Basin. Options include college day passes, kids' day passes, military passes and seniors' day passes. If you want to also explore the skiing at the Lone Peak Pass Ski Area, buy a Lone Peak Ticket which will allow you to have unlimited access to both ski resorts.

    Join a SnowSports School Program to improve your skiing skills before you hit the slopes. You can call ahead for more information about this program or to reserve your spot. The phone number is 1-406-993-6000.

    Get it repaired on the mountain. If you trip over your skis and break a binding or gauge your skis or snowboard while visiting Moonlight Basin, you can take advantage of their repair services. They can help you with the following items and services: full tune, sharpen and wax, mount, biding check, P-tex, base welds, edge work, baskets, grips, straps, belts and stonegrinds.

    Rent equipment if you need to. The rental shop opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m.

    Discover where the clouds meet the slopes. The base elevation of Moonlight Basin is 7,000 feet and the summit elevation is 11,150 feet. It has a vertical drop of 4,150 feet. It offers over 2,000 acres of slopes and ski areas, and 76 trails.

    Explore your lift options. Moonlight Basin offers 3 quad chair lifts, 1 surface lift, 1 double chair lift, 1 triple chair lifts and 1 hi-speed six lift.
