Go Skiing in Montana Snowbowl, Montana and have a blast skiing in the Rocky Mountains. The resort is located about 20 minutes north of downtown Missoula on Snowbowl Road.

    Book Your Trip Accommodations and Transportation

  1. Step 1

    Stay at the on-site Gelandesprung Lodge and don't worry about driving. Standard rooms, deluxe rooms and suites are all available, and prices are very affordable. Call Montana Snowbowl at 1-800-728-2695 or email info@montanasnowbowl.com to book a room.

  2. Step 2

    Save money on your accommodations by booking a ski-and-stay package at the Gelandesprunge lodge. You can also rent out the entire hotel for weddings and other special events. The building has an old-fashioned, cozy, rustic feel. A hot tub and kitchen areas are available. See photos on the Snowbowl Web site (see Resources below).

  3. Step 3

    Stay in the city of Missoula for expanded accommodations options. Hotels and motels in Missoula tend to be fairly inexpensive. Check out the 'Overnight Lodging' page on the Snowbowl Web site for a list of nearby properties (see Resources below).

    Search for additional accommodations at the Official Montana Travel Information Web site (see Resources below).

    Have a safe flight into the Missoula International Airport, which is within a 15 to 30 minute drive of Montana Snowbowl Ski Area. There are several car rental agencies in Missoula.

    Pick up your lift ticks for your ski trip. Montana Snowbowl offers full-day, half-day, adult, student, senior, child and night lift tickets at reasonable rates.

    Rent or buy your ski equipment. Montana Snowbowl offers ski rentals, boot rentals, pole rentals, snowboard rentals, Telemark packages and complete equipment package rentals.

    Put your skis on and get ready to learn. Group lessons and private lessons are both offered.

    Learn the basics about Montana Snowbowl. The base elevation at this ski area is 5,000 feet and the summit elevation is 7,600 feet. It has a vertical drop of 2,600 feet. Each year it has a snowfall amount of about 300 inches.

    Prepare yourself for the lifts. This ski area offers 1 rope tow, 1 T-bar and 2 double chair lifts.

  13. Step 3

    Track it! This ski area offers 32 trails with the longest run being 15,840 feet.
