Buck Hill Ski Area, Minnesota offers ski adventures from November through the month of March. They are open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. through 9:00 p.m., Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sundays and Holidays from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

    Examine your lodging options in other nearby cities. If you can't find lodging in Burnsville then you can also look in the nearby communities of Lakeville, Bloomington and Apple Valley. Here, you're likely to find both chain hotels and boutique inns with country touches.

    Look for lodging in Burnsville, Minnesota. This city offers several chalet-inspired inns that offer rooms for moderate prices.

  4. Budget for Lift Tickets, Ski Lessons and Equipment Rentals

    Determine what services you will need to book for your ski trip. The Buck Hill ski area offers ski and snowboard rentals as well as children's, women's and mixed group ski lessons.

    Create a price list for lift tickets. Buck Hill lift ticket prices will vary by season. However, you will be able to find full day passes for adults inexpensively and an all day child's pass costs even less. Season passes are also available.

    Become familiar with the types of lifts that you will be using on your ski trip. Buck Hill offers 11 different ski lifts including 1 tubing lift, 1 handle tow, 1 J-bar, 1 Magic Carpet Lift, 1 triple chair lift, 1 quad chair lift, 2 double chair lifts and 3 rope tows.

    Examine the statistics for this ski area. There are 15 runs offered at this ski area with the longest run being 1,250 feet. The vertical drop is over 300 feet.
