Step 1
Reserve a room on-site at the luxurious Pine Mountain Resort to experience comfort and opulence second to none. From its cozy rooms to its pool, hot tub and sauna, Pine Mountain Resort offers a perfect picturesque wintertime destination. You'll have your choice of hotel rooms and condos.
-
Step 2
Book online at the Pine Mountain Ski Resort Web site (see Resources below) by email. Hotel rooms are generally inexpensive during the week and moderately priced on the weekends. Condo accommodations are more expensive.
-
Step 3
Take advantage of package deals. You can even build your own package using the resort's Web site. You can also call 877-553-PINE to speak with someone at the resort directly.
-
Step 4
Find cheaper accommodations within driving distance of the resort in the form of motels and campgrounds. Bed and breakfast lodgings are also available near the resort for a more romantic stay.
-
Step 5
Fly into Green Bay, Milwaukee or Madison in Wisconsin. You'll take US-41 north to US-141. Pine Mountain is located near where US-141 meets US-2.
-
Step 1
Realize that Pine Mountain is a family resort that features skiing and snowboarding for experts and beginners. Take a trip down the bunny hill, or experience the more challenging black diamond run. The mountain's vertical drop is 500 feet, and it has a summit elevation of 1,650 feet.
-
Step 2
Get ‘tricky' in one of Pine Mountain's two terrain parks during your trip, or relax in front of the warm fire with a delicious drink at the top of the hill Pine Cone.
-
Step 3
Bring along friends and family and book your ski trip with a group to receive a discount. Most group packages include lessons, lift tickets and rentals.
-
Step 4
Call 800 505-PINE for an area ski report. You can also find one online (see Resources below).
-
Step 1
Challenge yourself by taking a run down Hematite's black diamond run. Remember that this slope is intended for expert skiers only and beginners should not attempt it.
-
Step 2
Rent skis and snowboards at Pine Mountain if you do not own your own. Both adult and children's ski/snowboard rental packages are inexpensive.
-
Step 3
Look into taking a lesson if you have never skied before, or if you might need a refresher course before taking to the slopes. Ski instruction is available for an hourly rate.
