Find Lodging in Pine Ridge

Step1
Reserve your accommodations by calling the Central Massachusetts Convention and Visitors Bureau at (800) 231-7557 or visiting its Web site (see Resources below). Click on the Web site's Lodging link, and type "Barre" into the search box. Choose your ideal distance from the drop-down menu, but keep in mind there are very few lodgings in Barre proper.
Step2
Look for off-site lodging through the Pine Ridge Snow Park Web site (see Resources below). Click on the "Contact" link on the main page to bring up the Accommodations section.
Step3
Enjoy a romantic getaway when you book a room at a nearby bed and breakfast. In Barre and neighboring Rutland, you'll find inns that cater to grown-ups only, making for a peaceful, secluded atmosphere. Rates range from moderate to expensive.
Step4
Facilitate family bonding by staying at a larger hotel. Gardner, Westminster, Finchburg and Worcester are home to hotels that welcome the pitter-patter of children's feet, and they're only about 13 to 20 miles from Pine Ridge. There are also plenty of inexpensive lodgings to be found.

Travel to Pine Ridge

Step1
Drive to Pine Ridge Snow Park by jumping on Route 32. Take the Stetson Road exit off of Route 32 to find the park.
Step2
Take 122 North if you're driving in from Worcester. From there, you can pick up Route 32 South at Quabbin Plaza (which you'll find before Barre Center).

Enjoy Your Massachusetts Ski Trip

Step1
Ski for less by making Pine Ridge your destination. The ski area offers incredibly affordable prices. Adult weekend/holiday ski passes are inexpensive, and half-day passes cost even less.
Step2
Enjoy nighttime skiing and save. Pine Ridge offers a reduced rate for those skiing between the hours of 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
Step3
Mind your budget by scheduling a family trip to Pine Ridge. On Family Fridays, families get to ski for a low group rate.
Step4
Teach Junior how to shred by signing him up for lessons at Pine Ridge. Both private lessons and semi-private lessons are available. While not expensive per se, these lessons are relatively pricey when compared to the very inexpensive lift tickets.
Step5
Make Pine Ridge your home away from home by getting a season pass. A special family rate covers up to four persons. Book your passes by calling Pine Ridge at (866) 355-6446.
Step6
Locate a current ski report by clicking on "The Mountain" link on the main page of the resort's Web site.

Tips & Warnings

  • Pine Ridge offers affordable equipment rental rates. Rent boots, skis, poles and even snowboards and snowboard boots at cheap prices.
  • Book online to find out-of-the-way bed and breakfasts and charming inns.
  • Pine Ridge shines as a stellar destination for families with kids and for those new to skiing. However, if you're a master in search of challenging slopes, this is probably not the ski area for you.
  • Pine Ridge is not open for skiing during the week.
  • Nighttime skiing is not offered at Pine Ridge on Sundays.
  • Many hotels stop accepting online reservations a day or two before check-in, so if you're booking online, do so well in advance.
