Find moderately priced accommodations at a local inn. Converted mansions and other options allow you to experience the best of Maine.

Save some money by booking your accommodations at one of the budget motels in the Auburn area.
Step5
Fly into Portland International Jetport, then take the Maine Turnpike (I-95) to the Auburn exit, Exit 75.

Step7
Book your ski trip around special events at Lost Valley. These include races, silly events—such as Crazy Hat Day—and performances by live bands.
Step8
Call the Lost Valley information number at (207) 784-1561 if you have any questions. This number is not to book lift tickets or lodging.

Step1
Stop worrying about the snow. Lost Valley was the first ski area in Maine to install snow making. They are experts at keeping the fun going even when there is no natural snow.
Step2
Take on a new challenge. Learn to ski with a Snow Sports Learning Program. Junior and adult lessons are offered, for beginners or more advanced skiers. The Mighty Mite program is for children 4 to 6 years old.
Step3
Get what you need. The Ski and Snowboard shop has new and used equipment, plus it does repairs and maintenance.
Step4
Ride the snowboarding terrain park for a real boarding challenge.
Step5
Grab some hot cocoa and sit near the fieldstone fireplace in the lodge to warm up. In the Fireside lounge, you can sit with your friends and brag about your incredible moves on the slopes.
